i luv it, and i'd like to do it...somehow i've managed to add details to my clothing, but i just can't cuz i don't have the money and my parent don't wanna give it to me to make them
but i think i will make one costume, Kagome, cuz it's pretty easy, i just have to change one of my school blouses and then make the skirt (pretty easy^^)

as the others said, the scan is grainy, maybe u can try a smoothed blur (i'm not sure if that's the name, cuz my photoshop is in spanish, but it's the 7th option in the blur filter), that tool is awesome and i luv it. The extraction is also a bit messy and Chloe-chan said, maybe u can take more time doing it. I don't like too much the bgr, is weird. maybe u can take the pic u used for it and add to it some filters, then, in the bgr u can use some brushes. I dunno if u have account in DA, but there u can find tons of awesome brushes, textures, stock images, etc.
The pic is really cute tough, and i like the principal idea ^^.

the extraction has some problems, and also the quakity of the scan is not too good, maybe u could vector it
the grass also isn't very good...the colours are weird and also maybe u could make it with different layers, changing in each layer the size and colour or the brush (the deeper, the darker)
in the sky i can see some lines too
